Overview

The Regional Director of Operations (RD) is responsible for the oversite and the quality of operations in approximately six full service restaurants.The RD supports their management teams and is responsible for the development and success of their managers.

The RD protects the concept, the team, builds sales, delivers financial results, builds talent at many levels, acts as an ambassador and they are responsible for minimizing the risks of doing business in the restaurant industry.

Responsibilities

  • Communicates Joe’s quest to enhance the overall quality and operational standards in all areas of the Not Your Average Joe’s brand through frequent restaurant visits where key areas of the restaurant operation, the cuisine and the hourly team are the focus.
  • Encourages and facilitates development at all levels.
  • Provides recognition and praise to employees and teaches this methodology to others.
  • Successfully supports recruitment and retention efforts throughout the region.
  • Provides timely and accurate financial analysis of restaurants as dictated by the company.
  • Achieves and exceeds budgeted sales and profits; never settles for the “status quo” with financial performance.
  • Is held accountable for results that come from health inspections, audits, on-the-spot surveys from guests and other measurables.
  • Consistently provides direction and feedback to managers on performance and is capable of delivering difficult performance reviews and terminations as necessary.
  • Ensures culinary perfection by working alongside chefs with existing menu items and when new menu rollouts occur.
  • Completes yearly plans and budgets for each restaurant based on analytics.
  • Recognizes personal opportunities and maintains a personal development plan.
  • Stays abreast of industry trends and is active in local community.
  • Is a true professional who represents Not Your Average Joe’s, all of the time.

Qualifications

  • Multi-Unit full service experience for a minimum of five years.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent People skills and a proven track record as a successful leader that people look up to.
  • Able to work in a high-volume, fast-paced work environment.
  • Good to great computer and math skills and knowledge of computer systems.
